The Internet as Art
December 1, 2008
This is an extremely moving work of art/website by Phillip Toledano. The navigation might annoy some but I find it very interesting – each time I’ve visited the site I’ve discovered different things. I defy you not to well up a little while looking at it! In my opinion, this is a shining example of how the internet can be used for self-expression and to reach out to others. Just check the comments at the end if you don’t agree!

Tribute to Charles Mingus
This is so far the best cover version I could find on Youtube/Google of what I would call “one of the best songs ever made“. Cheers Mingus!

Advice of the Day
April 17, 2007
Don’t picket–vandalize. Don’t protest–deface. When ugliness, poor design & stupid waste are forced upon you, turn Luddite, throw your shoe in the works, retaliate. Smash the symbols of the Empire in the name of nothing but the heart’s longing for grace.

Lust and Philosophy
April 10, 2007
“La volupté et la philosophie font le bonheur de l’homme sensé.
Il embrasse la volupté par goût et aime la philosophie par raison.”
“Wollust und Philosophie machen das Glück des verständigen Menschen aus.
Er umarmt die Lust aus Geschmack und die Philosophie aus Vernunft.“
